An overview of the first 13 years of the British Independent Film Awards
Welcome to the British Independent Film Awards
Created in 1998 by Raindance founder Elliot Grove, The British Independent Film Awards set out to celebrate merit and achievement in independently funded British filmmaking, to honour new talent, and to promote British filmmaking and British talent to a wider public.
The most recent Awards took place on 4th December 2011. Submissions for the next Awards open 17th April 2012. The 2012 nominations announced on 5th November 2012 and the Awards on 9th December 2012.
