Willie's Cacao

Willie Harcourt-Cooze is the UK’s only independent grower and producer of cacao. He has been farming cacao for more than a decade at Hacienda El Tesoro, his farm high in the mountains of Venezuela. Willie’s Cacao bars are made from beans selected by Willie from the very best cacao regions around the world. The bars are all single bean or single estate origin of exceptional quality, each bar representing the natural flavour of the region. His beans are traditionally roasted in his chocolate factory in Devon, England using 100-year-old machinery to produce an authentic, individual pure chocolate bar.

Dominic Thackray

In 1995 Dominic Thackray was a receptionist in a zero-star hotel on the Rue de Buci on the left bank in Paris where he sometimes rented rooms out by the hour. He hopes that was the last low-rent job he ever did. Nowadays he is a graphic designer. He has been designing for BIFA since 1999. That's quite a long time now.

GSP have created and managed bespoke events since 1997. They are widely regarded as a market leading boutique events agency with an outstanding reputation and pride themselves on their creativity, attention to detail and passion for delivering amazing experiences. GSP fundamentally believes that for an event to be different it must not only be unique, but legendary, discussed not only in the following weeks, but for years to come. GSP are the production team for BIFA 2011.

iSOS are specialists in Apple Mac networking and small business IT support and have been helping BIFA since 2008. Our friendly, rapid response approach to IT ensures that downtime is kept to an absolute minimum allowing our customers to focus on what they do best. As well as remote and on-site network support services, our other core areas of activity include Filemaker database development, small business website design, website hosting services, Search Engine Optimisation and Apple Mac repairs.

Smart, witty and sophisticated, Philippe Starck’s design is a brilliant collision of influences - from the modern to the baroque - that suffuses the hotel with energy, vitality and magic. Entered through improbably tall, luminescent yellow-glass revolving doors—the tallest in London—St Martins Lane’s lobby is a soaring and theatrical space that offers a provocative manipulation of dimension and proportion. Starck presents a visually stunning play on scale, with oversized columns and angled niches painted a deep fluorescent yellow, complemented by Portuguese limestone floors. From its acid-etched, double-height yellow glass facade to its unpredictable plays on vivid colour to the dramatic series of columns that appear as shining towers, St Martins Lane’s lobby is a triumph of colour and light.
