Mike Figgis has roots in experimental theatre and music, which are just two primary influences that contribute to the creative vision in all of his feature films and documentaries. In a career that includes just seven feature films, Figgis has emerged as a visionary filmmaker who thrives on taking artistic risks. Although he has been at the helm of such 'mainstream' movies as 'INTERNAL AFFAIRS' with Richard Gere, the British born filmmaker has exhibited his more eclectic personal style in such films as 'STORMY MONDAY' and 'LIEBESTRAUM'. Tom Hollander grew up in Oxford, went to school locally and read English Literature at Cambridge. As a boy he was a member of the National Youth Theatre and the National Youth Music Theatre. While at university, he was a member of the Cambridge Footlights Revue, and played a much-celebrated Cyrano De Bergerac at the Arts Theatre, directed by Sam Mendes.
His early career was primarily theatre based. Film credits include: MARTHA, MEET FRANK, DANIEL AND LAWRENCE, ENIGMA, POSSESION, THE LAWLESS HEART and GOSFORD PARK
Recent projects include: King George V in Stephen Poliakoff's landmark BBC drama THE LOST PRINCE, CAMBRIDGE SPIES also for the BBC, PAPARAZZI for Icon Productions in LA and Richard Eyre's COMPLEAT FEMALE STAGE BEAUTY. Tom is currently appearing at the Donmar Warehouse in John Osborne's THE HOTEL IN AMSTERDAM with Olivia Williams.

One of this country's most acclaimed actors. He has received over ten major award nominations (including Best Actor at BIFA 2000) and won, amongst others, the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Bobby in COMPANY, directed by Sam Mendes, the Time Out Award for his performance in SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION and the Carlton Television theatre award for HAMLET, directed by Peter Brook. Ken Loach was born in 1936 in Nuneaton. He attended King Edward VI Grammar School and went on to study law at St. Peter's Hall, Oxford. After a brief spell as an actor, Loach was recruited by the BBC in 1963 as a trainee television director. This launched a long career directing films and documentaries for television and the cinema, from CATHY COME HOME and KES in the sixties to LAND AND FREEDOM and MY NAME IS JOE in recent years.

Ewan's first major role was in Dennis Potter's musical comedy television series Lipstick on Your Collar. Following further theatre and TV work, Ewan starred in the BAFTA winning Shallow Grave, for which he won the Hitchcock D'Argent Best Actor Award and a nomination for Best Actor at the Bafta Scotland Awards. Ewan took his first solo male lead in Peter Greenaway's The Pillow Book. It was Ewan's multi-award-winning portrayal of smack addict Mark Renton in Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting that catapulted McGregor to international. Ewan eluded any danger of typecasting by taking a role in an adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma. After this Ewan starred in Mark Herman's Cesar award winning Brassed Off. Ewan then teamed up with Cameron Diaz in the quirky romantic fantasy A Life Less Ordinary, which reunited him with director Danny Boyle. Ewan then went on to star in the glam rock film, Velvet Goldmine, followed by a portrayal of the infamous Nick Leeson in Rogue Trader. Little Voice saw Ewan team up again with Brassed Off director Mark Herman.
In 1998, Ewan founded Natural Nylon in a bid to boost home-grown movie industry. In one of their first major films Ewan went behind the camera to co-produce Nora, the story of James Joyce (McGregor) and Nora Barnacle (Susan Lynch). Ewan starred in the biggest film of 2001, Baz Luhrmann's Oscar and BAFTA winning Moulin Rouge. More recently, Ewan has starred in Young Adam and Down With Love. This year, he has shot Tim Burton's Big Fish and Marc Forster's supernatural thriller, Stay. Ewan is recognised as one of the finest British actors in the world and has been described both by Vanity Fair and Time Out as 'the saviour of the British film industry'.

As actress, activist, environmentalist, film producer and author, Trudie's career spans many creative fields. Her passionate concerns for the environment and human rights motivate many of her career choices, and are reflected most clearly in her documentary films and fundraising activities.
Trudie's company Xingu Films began by making documentary films for the BBC. One of their first, MOVING THE MOUNTAIN (1994, directed by Michael Apted) told the student leaders' stories of the Tiananmen Square massacre in Beijing in 1989, and won an International Documentary Association Award. Other credits include: BOYS FROM BRAZIL (1993), THE SWEATBOX (2002), A KIND OF CHILDHOOD (2002), LOCK STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS (1998) and SNATCH (2000). This year Xingu has completed David Thewlis's CHEEKY (co-produced with Luc Besson's EuropaCorp), and is currently developing a New York story to be filmed next year with Robert Downey Jr.
